Garden State Pet Center is an independent, neighborhood pet store located in Audubon, New Jersey, serving pet families throughout South Jersey. We opened Garden State Pet Center in November 2022 with a simple goal: to create the kind of pet store where people can get thoughtful, personalized help instead of being left to navigate an overwhelming wall of products on their own. We believe nutrition, enrichment, and proper husbandry can make a meaningful difference in a pet’s quality of life, and education has become a major part of what we do every day.

Our store offers much more than dog and cat food and supplies. We carry products for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small animals, along with live animals and feeder insects. We also provide grooming services for birds, reptiles, and small mammals, including nail, wing, and beak care; boarding for birds, reptiles, and small animals; avian DNA and disease testing; curbside and in-store pickup; and local same-day delivery. Our owner is a Certified Clinical Pet Nutritionist, and nutrition guidance is a core part of the Garden State Pet Center experience.

What sets us apart is the level of care behind the products we choose and the relationships we build with our customers. We specialize in premium and holistic nutrition, including raw, freeze-dried, gently cooked, limited-ingredient, and allergy-friendly options. We take time to learn about each pet, explain the

differences between products, and help families find solutions that fit their individual needs and budget. As an independent retailer, we can also support unique brands, local rescues, community organizations, and police K9 programs in ways that are personal to our neighborhood.

Neighborhood Pet Store Day is especially meaningful to us because it celebrates exactly what independent pet stores contribute: expertise, relationships, community involvement, and a genuine investment in the pets and people we serve. We celebrate the last weekend of September with special promotions, product discovery, customer appreciation, education, and opportunities for pet parents to experience the benefits of shopping local.
